Winslow Homer Art Studio Opens Sept. 25 in Maine

The AP is reporting that the art studio in Scarborough, Maine where Winslow Homer did much of his painting will be open to the public starting Tuesday.
Homer lived in the studio from 1883 until his death in 1910. 
Tours 2 ½ hours in length will be held at 10:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 2 p.m., Tuesday-Sunday. Tours depart from and return to the Portland Museum of Art by van and are limited to 10 visitors. Tickets are $55 for nonmembers, $30 for members, and can be reserved by calling 207-775-6148, according to the Scarborough Current/ keepmecurrent.com.


 Scarborough is located about 5 hours from the Capital District, and the museum in Portland is not much further.
